On November 11th, our team competed at the Forsyth Central invitational, the last of our fall tournaments. With a large field of nearly 50 teams, we medaled in 11 events - comparable to GSMST, and far ahead of teams like Milton and Northgate, though still substantially behind Brookwood (Forsyth Central does not award team trophies due to their team structure rules).
Going forward, we'll be competing at the 9th annual Brookwood Invitational on January 13th - the largest yet, with 70 teams in attendance - and the following weekend at MIT, against many of the best teams in the nation. Our team medaled in the following events: 1st place: Chemistry Lab - Ellie Kim, Erin Chang Disease Detectives - Erin Chang, Praneeth Kota Helicopters - Alex Yu, Joanna Zheng Write It Do It - Emily Guo, Marylyn Chen 2nd place: Anatomy and Physiology - Araneesh Pratap, Brian Amaro Disease Detectives - Araneesh Pratap, Ridhi Choragudi Optics - Maanas Purushothapu, Raj Srivastava Towers - Alex Yu, Joanna Zheng 3rd place: Dynamic Planet - Emilie Lin, Sahil Sudhir Game On - Joanna Zheng Microbe Mission - Emily Zhang, Ridhi Choragudi Thermodynamics - Daniel Perez, Jeffrey Xu
